Digital Marketing Apprenticeship Overview

A digital marketer’s role is to outline, plan, build and implement marketing campaigns on a wide range of platforms to capture customer purchases, commitment and retention.

Digital Marketing apprentices usually will be responsible for the administrative tasks of a marketing campaign. They will have guidance to help perform their duties and will report to a Digital Marketing Manager.

Digital Marketer Career Progression

Upon completion of the Digital Marketing Apprenticeship, you can work in many roles such as Digital Marketing Assistant, Digital Marketing Executive, Digital Marketing Coordinator, Campaign Executive, Social Media Executive, Content coordinator, Email Marketing Assistant, SEO Executive, Analytics Executive, Data Analyst.

Entry Requirements

Individual employers will set the selection criteria, but initial requirements include GCSEs, A levels, a level 2 apprenticeship or any other relevant aptitude test or qualification.

Course Duration

The apprenticeship usually takes up to 18 months to complete.

Written Communication: applies a good level of written communication skills for a range of audiences and digital platforms with regard to the sensitivity of communication.

Research: analyses and contributes information to inform short and long-term digital communications strategies and campaigns.

Technologies: recommends and applies effective, secure, and appropriate solutions using a wide variety of digital technologies and tools over a range of platforms and user interfaces to achieve marketing objectives.

Data: reviews, monitors, and analyses online activity and provides valuable recommendations and insights.

Customer service: responds efficiently to inquiries using CRM tools and social media platforms.

Problem-solving: applies logic and structured techniques to solve problems, analyses problems, and resolves issues on a variety of digital platforms.

Analysis: understands and creates basic analytical dashboards using appropriate digital tools Implementation: builds and implements digital campaigns across a variety of digital media platforms.
